Job summary

Funding Circle UK is seeking an administrator in London (hybrid) to review and process loan applications, ensuring fast, compliant funding for UK small businesses. You will review financials, perform KYC checks, and use third-party systems to gather information while maintaining rigorous quality standards.

In this busy role, you’ll work in a collaborative team, meet deadlines, and identify risks or process improvements.

Qualifications

• 6+ months experience in a high-volume operations or administrative role.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
• Strong organisational skills with ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving policies and procedures.
• Familiarity with financial documents, bank statements, and IDs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review loan applications by examining financial accounts, bank statements, and risk reports.
• Carry out know your customer (KYC) checks during borrower onboarding; escalate to AML/fraud teams as needed.
• Use third-party systems to collect information on applicants and their business.
• Perform quality assurance to reconcile loan documents and data for accuracy.
• Work collaboratively within a team and proactively identify and mitigate risks.
• Support process improvements, leveraging AI tools to streamline tasks.

The role

London (Hybrid) | 3 days in the office | Competitive Salary + Benefits

This is a busy admin role where you will be reviewing and processing loan applications to provide fast, efficient funding to small businesses in the UK.

• Reviewing financial accounts, bank statements and risk reports to process loan applications


• Completing know your customer (KYC) checks during the borrowers on-boarding journey and referring cases to our AML and Fraud teams where required


• Use third party systems to collect information on the applicant and their business


• Perform rigorous quality assurance: Reconcile loan documents and internal system data for completeness and accuracy


• Working in a collaborative team environment


• Proactively problem solving, identifying and confidently mitigating any risks, issues or control weaknesses that arise in your day-to-day

What we’re looking for

• At least 6 months experience in a high volume operations or administrative role


• Ability to work to deadlines and business goals in a fast paced, dynamic environment


• Excellent attention to detail, self motivation, strong organisational skills and ability to follow procedures


• Ability to complete tasks that are repetitive in nature


• Willingness to learn and adapt with ever evolving policies and procedures


• It would be great, but not essential, if you had familiarity with financial documents, bank statements and identification documents


• Able to proactively identify ways to use Generative AI to streamline your daily tasks and improve your personal productivity


• Confident using approved AI tools safely and effectively to enhance your output and find a better way of working
