Loading Shovel Operator (Waste Management)

Scunthorpe

Salary: £28,000-£30,000 (£17.77 per hour) OTE £45,000+ with training, progression, overtime, company benefits and day‑based schedule.

Job Summary: We are a well‑established company with over 15 years of service and multiple depots, seeking a Loading Shovel Operator to work Monday‑Friday 0700‑1700 (some weekend work), 45 base hours per week with premium overtime available.

The Role

• Operate loading shovel equipment safely and efficiently.
• Load and move waste and recyclable materials around the site.
• Assist with general site operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

The Person

• Previous experience operating a loading shovel or similar plant machinery.
• Ability to work independently and under minimal supervision.
