Loading Bay Operative

Location: Kirkby Thore

Shifts: Monday to Friday - Rotating Shift pattern

Pay Rate: £12.25 - £14.98 depending on hours worked

We are seeking dedicated Loading Bay Operatives to join our team for the British Gypsum contract in Kirkby Thore.

Our client is a third‑party provider of transportation and logistics services that offers a range of services from Drayage, Global freight forwarding & Full truckload transport. The company is committed to environmental sustainability and works with customers to create action plans to reduce emissions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Secure loads by unstrapping and strapping them as needed to ensure safety during transit.
  • Collaborate with forklift truck (FLT) drivers to confirm that loads are properly secured or ready to be unloaded.
  • Provide support in loading and unloading activities if required, although these tasks are typically handled by FLT drivers.
  • Maintain adherence to all site health and safety regulations.
Shift Pattern
  • Week 1: 21:00 - 06:00
  • Week 2: 13:00 - 22:00
  • Week 3: 06:00 - 15:00

Shifts rotate on a three-week basis, provided in advance. No weekend or bank holiday work unless overtime is offered.
