Job summary

A local community council in Northern Ireland is seeking a Live Sound Engineer to set up and manage live sound systems at various locations. Responsibilities include conducting sound checks and ensuring the operation of PA systems during events. Job description

THE EMPLOYER IS: FALLS COMMUNITY COUNCILAs a Live Sound Engineer, your job will involve cabling and usage of mixing desks to engineer events. Successful applicant will be AccessNI checked.

Responsibilities
  • Setting up Live Sound systems in a variety of locations.
  • Conduct sound checks.
  • Breakdown of PA System.
  • Pack PA system into relevant flight cases.
  • Undertake cable checks.
  • Risk assessment of venues.
  • Engineer live event on location.
  • Adhere to heath and safety policy and procedures at all times.
  • Communicate clearly with customers/artists/performers and presenters.
  • Set up PA system for rehearsal rooms.
Skills and Qualifications
  • L3 qualification or higher in Sound or Music Technology or 3 years experience working within the music industry (voluntary work recognised).
  • Capable of moving PA Equipment.
  • Understanding of foldback and FOH systems (active speakers).
  • Good co-ordination.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with other staff and clients.
  • Adhere to work place protocols at all time.
  • Open to working in a variety of environments.
  • Good time management.
  • Open to training progression both in house on off site.
  • Maintain a clean working environment.
