Our client is looking for an organised housekeeper to join their large formal country estate.

Highlights

• Start: December 2025
• Location: Ascot, Berkshire
• Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8am – 4pm, flexible when the family are in residence
• Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 gross per annum DOE

Overview

We are seeking an experienced housekeeper for a distinguished private country estate. The ideal candidate will be meticulous and have extremely high attention to detail. Prior experience in a private household is essential, in addition to being comfortable and proficient with modern technology.

You will be joining an established household team, so the ability to work collaboratively and follow instructions attentively, whilst also being a clear and effective communicator is extremely important.

Due to the estate’s remote location, a full UK driving licence is essential and candidates should reside within a commutable distance.

You will generally be required to work Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm, however when the family are in residence (roughly 8 weeks a year) you should be happy to work additional hours and days with time of in lieu given.

Duties included but not limited to

• Performing full housekeeping duties ensuring all areas of the estate are immaculately maintained
• Daily cleaning and upkeep of all areas, which includes dusting, vacuuming, mopping and sanitising surfaces
• Laundry management, such as washing, ironing and wardrobe management
• Making beds and the regular changing of bed linens
• Ensuring all rooms are always presented to an exemplary standard
• Assisting the overall household staff team and communicating effectively

Key criteria

• Driver licence and own car are essential
• Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills
• Enthusiastic, proactive and a team player
• Flexibility to work up to 7 days per week and different hours when family are in residence (about 8 weeks per year in total) time off given in lieu.
