Job summary

Exclusive Household Staff is seeking an experienced and reliable Live-In Housekeeper/Cook for a private Knightsbridge household. The role is long‑term and you will work alongside another live‑in housekeeper to maintain exceptionally high standards of cleanliness and presentation.

The position includes comprehensive housekeeping, laundry and ironing (including fine garments) and preparing breakfast and dinner for the principals. Accommodation is a private bedroom and bathroom in the family home.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a Housekeeper/Cook within a private household
• Excellent housekeeping, laundry and ironing skills
• Confident preparing breakfast and dinner to a good standard
• Chinese cooking skills would be a significant advantage
• Mandarin-speaking candidates would be a bonus but not essential
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong work ethic
• Organised, proactive and able to work independently
• Comfortable working as part of a small household team

Responsibilities

• Maintaining the household to an exceptionally high standard of cleanliness and presentation
• Working alongside the other Housekeeper to ensure the smooth running of the home
• Taking initiative and identifying tasks that require attention
• Managing the household laundry and ironing
• Ensuring clothing and linens are appropriately cared for, folded and stored
• Preparing and serving breakfast and dinner
• Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and well maintained
• Assisting with grocery shopping and maintaining food provisions as required
• Providing occasional/ad hoc assistance with walking the household's two small dogs
• Helping to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the household
• Maintaining a calm, professional and helpful approach within the home
• Maintaining complete discretion and confidentiality at all times
