Overview

Role: Live-in Gardener / Maintenance

Location: Meon Valley nr Winchester Hampshire

Start Date: December 2025 / January 2026

Salary: 40k gross per annum (negotiable depending on experience)

A busy family-orientated household in the beautiful Meon Valley Hampshire is seeking an experienced energetic and proactive gardener to join their team. Must love children and animals!

Role Overview

This is a hands-on role for a positive, flexible and animal-loving candidate who will take pride in maintaining the property and grounds to a high standard.

Responsibilities

• Gardener / Maintenance
• General garden maintenance across approx. five acres including paddocks and a walled garden
• Basic property and equipment maintenance
• Working alongside a part-time gardener (two days per week)
• Occasional airport runs and (boarding) school runs

Key Requirements

• Animal lover essential to assist with the dogs, cats, donkeys and sheep
• Driver essential - car provided for work use; own car required for personal use
• Energetic, enthusiastic and highly flexible with a positive can-do attitude
• Team player who is happy to work weekends (five-day week including most weekends with one weekend off per month)

Hours

8:00 am – 6:00 pm with a two-hour break during the day

5 days per week working weekends with one weekend off a month; Tuesdays and Wednesdays off

Accommodation

A stunning two-bedroom, two-bathroom cottage with its own private garden in the village walking distance of the main house. Partner and pets welcome but not suitable for dependants.
