Job summary

Altogether Care is seeking a Live-in Care Assistant to live in the client’s home in the Somerset area, delivering personalised, compassionate care. You’ll support daily living tasks and help maintain independence for clients in their familiar surroundings.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of UK care experience, are able to commit to blocks of duty, and can adapt to live with a client. Induction, training, and ongoing support are provided.

Qualifications

At least 1 year UK care experience.
Ability to commit to 8-week blocks on duty or longer.
Attend induction and refresher training at dedicated training centres.
Provide dignified assistance with personal care, including medication.
Offer strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to live with a client in their own home.

About The Role

What YOU will be doing:

Providing high-quality care and support to clients in their own homes.
Assisting with personal care tasks such as medication, washing/bathing, oral hygiene, and dressing.
Supporting clients with daily tasks, including meal preparation and general housekeeping.
Offering choices for social activities, accompanying clients to lead meaningful lives, providing emotional support, and promoting independence.
Building positive relationships with clients' families, loved ones, and other professionals involved in their support.

Essential

About YOU:

At least one years of care experience.
Ability to work an average of 8-week blocks on duty or longer if preferred.
Attendance at induction and refresher training at our dedicated training centers.
Empower individuals to make their own decisions and choices.
Provide dignified assistance with personal care, including washing, bathing, dressing, and medication.
Offer physical and emotional support to those in your care.
