We are looking for people with kind, compassionate hearts who want to make a true difference to the quality of life for our clients, to join our Live‑in care team, based at our Down & Lisburn office.

As a Live‑in Care Professional, you will become an integral part of our client's life as you will live with them, support them to meet all of their daily needs and ensure that they are safe and well cared for in their own home.

Live‑in care is an extremely rewarding role that can offer you great job satisfaction, knowing that you are making a real difference to someone's life, supporting them to stay at home. As part of the Live‑in Care team, you will build strong relationships with our clients, at different stages of life, with care needs that vary.

Main Responsibilities of Alive in Care Professional
  • Assisting with personal care needs
  • Assisting with meals – preparation, cooking, feeding
  • Assisting with medication – prompting
  • Safe Moving and Handling
  • Light household duties – cleaning and laundry
  • Companionship
  • Outings with client – going shopping, out for coffee, trips to favourite scenic spots, etc
  • Accompanying clients to appointments
  • Observing & reporting on client's health & well‑being and keeping records/notes of care
Qualifications
  • A Minimum of 1 year previous care experience in live‑in care, domiciliary care, social care or health care setting
  • Dedicated and reliable individual with a genuine desire to care for others
  • Empathetic, patient, and positive person with a pro‑active approach to caring
  • Ability to adapt to various living environments and locations
  • Good level of stamina and fitness to meet the physical demands of the job
  • Willing to seek guidance when needed and follow instructions

This role is UK based and the right to work in the UK will need to be established as part of the recruitment process.

What do we offer our Live‑In Care Professionals

As a Live‑in Care Professional, you will be provided with 3 meals a day or an allowance from the client, a separate room to stay and access to a TV and WiFi.

Flexible Shift Patterns

  • Comprehensive and on‑going training and support.
  • Weekly Pay rate of £12.50 per hour
  • Time off between placements

  • Flexible, agreed work pattern (10‑hour shifts with minimum daily rest period of 2 hours)
  • Paid annual leave
