Overview

At home Instead offers top‑notch non‑medical care and companionship services for seniors, making us the leading provider worldwide. Our visits always last for at least an hour, and our award‑winning training ensures that our Care Professionals deliver only the best care. We match our Care Professionals to our clients based on mutual interests and hobbies to build trust and provide personalised support.

Responsibilities
  • Companionship Services: Offer companionship and conversation; stimulate and encourage through activities (clothing selection, hobbies, crafts); accompany to appointments and social events (visiting friends or family, lunch, club meetings).
  • Home Help Services: Perform light housekeeping tasks (dusting, vacuuming, making beds, changing linens, cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, washing and ironing, taking out rubbish, caring for houseplants, etc.); organise and tidy cupboards, check food expiry dates, and shop; have knowledge of good food safety and ability to cook healthy Italian meals from raw ingredients.
  • Personal Care: Help with bathing, dressing, and grooming; help with continence care; consider and understand the point of view of the person with dementia/Alzheimer; assist with morning and evening routine.
Essential Criteria
  • Ability to listen, communicate clearly, and build relationships with clients and their families in a friendly and pleasant manner.
  • Respect for people with different backgrounds and beliefs; commitment to non‑discriminatory care practice.
  • Excellent timekeeper, organised and reliable.
  • Good hygiene practice, including personal hygiene and a smart appearance.
  • Will obtain an Enhanced Disclosure from the relevant body.
  • Class 1 business insurance (if using own car for business purposes) or reliable transport.
Eligibility Criteria
  • Resident in UK.
  • All rights to work documents available.
  • No sponsorship available.
  • Care experience preferred.
