Job summary

VSL Productions is seeking a Warehouse & Events AV Technician to join our Welham Green HQ team, combining warehouse duties with on-site live event support. You will prepare, test and manage Video, Sound and Lighting gear for hire, assist with deliveries, installations and de-rigs, and grow your hands-on experience in a growing production company.

The role suits someone with live events experience who wants to develop technical knowledge while working with professional equipment and flexible

Qualifications

• Some previous experience within live events or AV production.
• Interest in Video, Sound and Lighting equipment.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Good attention to detail.
• Reliable and organized approach.
• Strong time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and develop technical knowledge.
• Confidence with regular manual handling and loading/unloading of equipment.
• Professional approach when dealing with colleagues and clients.
• Previous van driving experience would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, test, label and pack Video, Sound and Lighting equipment.
• Check returned equipment and identify missing or damaged items.
• Carry out basic equipment maintenance and repairs where trained.
• Maintain accurate equipment locations and stock records.
• Keep the warehouse organised, safe and efficient.
• Maintain PAT testing records and support routine electrical safety checks.
• Build, repair and test cables and adapters.
• Load and unload AV equipment.
• Carry out deliveries and collections using company vehicles.
• Assist with occasional event setups, installations and de-rigs.
• Support live events on-site when required.
• Work in line with company health and safety procedures.
