Job summary

Principia Law in Northwich is seeking an experienced Litigation Executive to join our successful Litigation team. You will manage a busy caseload, communicate with clients, counsel and insurers, and draft statements and pleadings, driving cases to settlement or hearing.

Based in Northwich with hybrid working after induction, the role offers a competitive salary up to £39,604 plus monthly bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package including generous annual leave and a pension.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a client-focused litigation role (e.g. paralegal, legal executive)
• Basic knowledge of credit hire claims and litigation processes
• Confident communicator with strong organisation and time-management skills
• Comfortable managing a busy caseload
• Positive, resilient and keen to achieve results as part of a collaborative team
• You have great attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Managing a caseload of post-issue credit hire claims on behalf of clients to settlement or to conclusion up to and including at the final hearing
• Communicating with clients, counsel, 3rd party insurers and solicitors to maximise the outcome of clients’ claims
• Advising clients on legal matters, explaining complex procedures, and developing case strategies
• Drafting and preparing legal documents, including court pleadings, witness statements, and instructions to counsel
• Investigating disputes, interviewing witnesses, and reviewing evidence
• Ensuring compliance with Court and Regulatory deadlines
• Ensuring compliance with Regulatory requirements
• Attending hearings to assist barristers or exercising rights of audience in county/magistrates' courts for specific applications
• Negotiating settlements and engaging in dispute resolution and mediation
• Managing your own varied caseloads in a timely manner.
