Associate - Litigation - Hybrid - 4-7 Years PQE

Location: Hybrid (Hybrid)

Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time

Salary: £60,000 to £80,000

A well-established legal practice is seeking a skilled and motivated Litigation Associate with 4-7 years post-qualification experience to join its growing litigation team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a broad range of litigation matters including commercial, property, construction, and contested estates, while contributing to strategic growth and client development.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for managing your own caseload and supporting senior colleagues on complex disputes, including:

  • Handling commercial, property, and construction litigation
  • Advising on contested wills, estates, and debt recovery
  • Managing cases from initial enquiry through to trial
  • Drafting pleadings, correspondence, and witness statements
  • Liaising with clients, Counsel, and experts
  • Attending hearings and settlement discussions
  • Delegating tasks to trainees and junior staff
  • Supporting business development and client relationship management
Candidate Requirements

This role is suited to a qualified solicitor with:

  • 4-7 years PQE in litigation (applications from strong candidates outside this range will be considered)
  • Proven ability to manage a caseload through to trial
  • Strong advocacy, drafting, and negotiation skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Civil Procedure Rules and litigation processes
  • Experience working directly with clients, Counsel, and experts
  • Commercial awareness and ability to build client/referrer relationships
