Qualifications

  • 2–5 years’ PQE (or equivalent), ideally gained in a common law jurisdiction.
  • Experience in commercial litigation with exposure to financial services/regulatory, insolvency or restructuring.
  • Strong drafting skills with the ability to analyse complex legal issues and provide clear advice.
  • Organised, proactive and comfortable managing competing priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to client service.
  • Willingness to develop new skills and keep legal knowledge current.

Job description

An excellent opportunity exists for an ambitious litigator to join the Guernsey office of a leading offshore law firm. As part of one of the largest and most respected Litigation & Dispute Resolution practices in the offshore market, you will gain exposure to challenging, complex and high-profile disputes with an international scope. The team is known for achieving exceptional results for clients, offering you a platform to build a first-class disputes career.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advising on a variety of disputes, including commercial litigation, financial services/regulatory matters, insolvency and restructuring
  • Drafting pleadings, submissions and other litigation documentation for Partner review
  • Managing case administration, including conflict checks, engagement letters, billing and time recording
  • Collaborating closely with Partners, Counsel and Senior Associates to deliver effective legal solutions
  • Taking ownership of your professional development, ensuring CPD requirements are met
  • Promoting and living the firm’s values in all client and colleague interactions
About You
  • 2–5 years’ PQE (or equivalent), ideally gained in a common law jurisdiction
  • Experience in commercial litigation with exposure to financial services/regulatory, insolvency or restructuring
  • Strong drafting skills with the ability to analyse complex legal issues and provide clear advice
