Job summary

Langdale Chase Hotel in Windermere is seeking a reliable linen porter to support the housekeeping team with the timely delivery, collection and management of clean and dirty linen throughout the hotel. You will work as part of a small, friendly team, handling linen across store areas, assisting with stock counts, deliveries from the contract laundry and periodic room cleaning tasks.

Experience in a hotel environment is preferred, especially 4- or 5-star properties; you should be passionate about

Qualifications

• Must have previous experience in a similar role in a hotel environment.
• 4* hotel experience preferred; 5* is a plus.
• Passion for guest comfort and a proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Ensure bedrooms, public areas and corridors are cleaned to the highest standard.
• Collect, sort and deliver linen to hotel store areas.
• Move dirty linen to the contract laundry for processing.
• Maintain linen pantries, keeping them tidy and well stocked.
• Assist with linen and supplies stock counts.
• Receive deliveries from contract laundry, check paperwork and store linen correctly.
• Assist with spring cleaning of rooms and general cleaning as needed.
• Clean bedrooms when required.
