Job summary

FedEx is seeking a Dispatch Agent in the United Kingdom to manage courier schedules, route planning and daily operations. The role focuses on coordinating a team of couriers and ensuring accurate updates to systems while maintaining service quality and productivity.

You will engage with customers and internal stakeholders, resolve issues promptly and contribute to the station's performance metrics. 37.5 hours weekly, with shifts from 14:00 to 22:00, in a dynamic logistics environment at FedEx.

Qualifications

  • Experience coordinating a team in a busy transport or dispatch environment.
  • Strong Microsoft Office and PC skills.
  • Good geographical knowledge.
  • Excellent accuracy, planning and time management under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare courier schedules and routes.
  • Coordinate workload among couriers to meet station goals.
  • Monitor daily delivery cycle and update systems with accuracy.
  • Provide support to couriers and resolve issues.
  • Contact customers for information or to advise on service issues.
  • Report issues and compile productivity and performance reports.

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Dispatch Agent Working:

37.5 hours per week

Salary £31,603.14 pa

Hours of work 1400-2200 Monday to Friday

What you will be doing:
  • Preparing courier schedules and routes
  • Coordinating the distribution of work amongst couriers helping them to achieve station's operational goals in the most efficient way
  • Monitoring the daily delivery cycle, updating systems with accurate information to ensure correct execution of the daily pick-up and delivery assignments
  • Providing support to the couriers and assisting them with issues resolution
  • Contacting customers when needed to obtain additional information or advise on potential service-related issues
  • Proactively reporting any issues that occurred during the daily delivery cycle to the management and compiling reports on station's productivity, volumes and performance
