Job summary

Greencore is seeking a warehouse operative at our Warrington site, part of a dynamic and fast-paced team. You will support production by ensuring efficient line performance, handling equipment and materials safely, and maintaining high standards of quality.

The role involves manual handling and Machine/line maintenance support, with training provided. Competitive pay and benefits apply, reflecting your contributions to our Italian centre of excellence at Warrington.

Qualifications

• Good level of English and maths required.
• Mechanical literacy and practical aptitude expected.

Responsibilities

• Deliver line/area productivity and achieve targets, resolving issues as they arise.
• Monitor materials and production environment to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
• Check equipment performance and highlight trends to maintain asset reliability.
• Promote a safe working environment and complete near-miss reporting.
• Assist with basic maintenance tasks and upkeep of machinery.

Pay Rate: £15.98 per hour

What you'll be doing:

Working within an exciting and fast paced environment, you will be a key member of our warehouse team and will ensure the service we provide to our customer is of exceptional quality. The role can be physically demanding with a good amount of pushing, pulling and lifting involved.

Task will involve:

• Deliver line/area productivity and efficiently targets, resolving problems and issues as they arise, produce ingredients or goods in line with the agreed production plan.
• Continuously monitor raw materials/ingredients, all operational processes and the overall production environment to ensure that all activity comply with food safety manufacturing standards
• Monitor the effectiveness of machinery and equipment, through Optimum Equipment Efficiency (OEE), highlighting trends and issues to ensure asset performance is consist of and reliable
• Promote a good health, safety and environmental culture within the department that complies with procedures, corrective actions and completes near miss reporting, to promote a safe working environment.
• First line maintenance and basic Plan Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
• Strip downs and rebuild of manufacturing equipment
• Provide training of operational staff
• Assist engineers with break downs
• Basic fault finding and prevention of breakdowns

What we're looking for

Full training will be provided if successful in this role but are looking for the following knowledge and experience:

• Good level of English & Maths
• Mechanical literate
• Previous experience of working within a similar role
• Attention to detail
• Basic understanding of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene
• Ability to work unsupervised
• Right first-time approach
• Computer literate
