Job summary

Greencore Bow in London is seeking a Warehouse Operative to coordinate materials for the production line, batch and transport raw materials, and manage stock to keep lines running smoothly. The role operates on Sunday to Thursday day shifts, 06:00-15:00, with Fridays and Saturdays off, at a site in Bow, London.

You will need keen attention to detail, the ability to work both in a team and independently, and strong numeracy and literacy.

Qualifications

• Good numeracy and literacy skills, both verbal and written.
• Able to work as part of a team or on own initiative.
• Able to follow management instructions and procedures.
• Keen eye for detail and safe working practices.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate materials for the production line with production managers and supervisors.
• Locate, batch and transport raw materials with correct codes and shelf life.
• Manage stock by topping up materials and returning unused items to storage.
• Maintain HACCP and health and safety compliance throughout the process.
• Service the production line on schedule to prevent downtime due to shortages.
• Raise material availability concerns to the Production Supervisor.
• Work in a cold environment and handle ingredients up to 20 kg while moving with trolleys.

Rate: £13.63/hour

What you'll be doing:

• Communicate with production managers, supervisors, and operatives to coordinate materials for the production line.
• Locate, batch, and transport raw materials with correct codes and usable shelf life to the line for each production run.
• Remove materials from previous runs and return them to storage, while topping up materials on the line as needed to maintain sufficient stock.
• Ensure adherence to HACCP, health and safety systems, and procedures throughout the process.
• Service the production line promptly according to the schedule to prevent downtime due to raw material shortages.
• Inform the Production Supervisor of any material availability issues that may impact product quality or line efficiency.
• Work in a cold environment, handling ingredients and managing stock rotation while lifting up to 20kg and pushing/pulling with trolleys.
