Job summary

Sincereal Group is seeking a Line Operator for its UK production facility in Ellesmere Port. The role focuses on maintaining high standards of manufacturing hygiene and housekeeping, under guidance from the Manufacturing and Shift Managers.

You will contribute to safe, efficient and compliant production operations. Responsibilities include cleaning, sanitation, record-keeping, and reporting issues to management, while supporting environmental and waste management activities.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing or FMCG environment (Desirable).
  • Understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) requirements (Desirable).
  • Good communication and teamwork skills (Required).
  • Flexible and responsive to changing operational priorities (Required).

Responsibilities

  • Ensure highest standards of manufacturing, hygiene and housekeeping across the production facility.
  • Carry out end-of-production cleaning and sanitation procedures.
  • Maintain records accurately and support safety and quality procedures.
  • Report hazards, near misses and incidents to Shift Manager.
  • Support environmental and waste management activities within the production area.

Job description

The Line Operator role is to ensure the highest standards of manufacturing, hygiene and housekeeping are maintained throughout the production facility. The role includes manufacturing and hygiene activities as directed by the Manufacturing Manager and Shift Managers, helping to maintain safe, efficient, and compliant manufacturing operations. Health, Safety & Quality
  • Follow all Health & Safety, Food Safety, Quality, and Environmental procedures.
  • Wear and maintain required PPE at all times.
  • Contribute to a positive safety culture by reporting hazards, near misses, and incidents.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards.
  • Maintain food safety and product quality standards in all activities.
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping standards at all times.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Flexible approach to work and shift requirements.
  • Ability to complete records accurately.
  • Good communication skills.
Hygiene Duties
  • Carry out end-of-production cleaning and sanitation procedures in accordance with site hygiene standards and cleaning schedules.
  • Clean and sanitise production equipment, processing lines, work areas, and ancillary equipment.
  • Complete hygiene documentation accurately and on time.
  • Ensure all cleaning chemicals are used, stored, and handled safely in accordance with site procedures.
  • Conduct pre-operational checks to confirm equipment and production areas meet hygiene standards before production start-up.
  • Report any hygiene, food safety, quality, or equipment concerns to the Shift Manager.
  • Support environmental and waste management activities within the production area.
Desirable
  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing or FMCG environment.
  • Experience of industrial cleaning or hygiene operations.
  • Understanding of food safety and GMP requirements.

  • This role operates in a food manufacturing environment with regular time on the factory floor and exposure to noise, dust (grain), moving machinery, temperature variation, and manual handling activities. Flexibility is required to support shift teams, critical incidents, shutdowns, trials, and business needs.
