Job summary

IPS is seeking a Line Leader at our Markham Vale site in Heath, Derbyshire. Shifts are rotating Mon-Fri (06:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00). Salary £14.01 per hour, full-time.

You will motivate a team, ensure products meet client specs, maximise efficiency, maintain Vision system, and uphold GMP, health, safety and quality standards. Strong leadership, audit readiness and continuous improvement mindset are essential.

Responsibilities

• Motivate a team to meet production targets and maintain SOPs.
• Ensure final product meets client specifications (SPI).
• Maximise production efficiency to meet plan hourly/daily.
• Adhere to GMP and housekeeping practices.
• Maintain accurate paperwork and systems per procedures.
• Ensure areas pass hygienic audits (internal/external).
• Liaise with agency controllers and provide feedback.
• Assist in training and development of new starters.
• Attend team leader meetings and drive continuous improvement.

IPS is the largest co-packer in the UK, working with some of the best-known food brands to provide cost-effective and innovative co-packing, co-filling and co-manufacturing solutions. We are now currently recruiting for a Line Leader on a Full Time basis at our IPS Markham Vale 1 site.

Job Description

Shift: Monday-Friday rotation shift (06:00am-14:00pm and 14:00pm-22:00pm rotating weekly).

Salary: £14.01 per hour.

Your duties will include but not limited to the following:

• To effectively motivate a team of people to meet production targets
• Ensure the final product meets client specifications (SPI)
• To effectively maximise production efficiency to ensure plan is met on an hourly/daily basis
• Effectively use the integrated management system (Vision)
• To adhere to and promote best practice in accordance with company health, safety and quality regulations
• To ensure all paperwork and systems are completed and accurate in accordance with company procedures
• To ensure that all areas comply with hygienic audits, both internal and external
• To ensure GMP (good manufacturing practices) and housekeeping (clean as you go) are strictly adhered to
• To liaise with agency controllers on a day to day basis providing feedback regarding agency workers
• To attend team leader meetings
• To assist in the training and development of new starters
• To act as a role model for best practice
• Monitor, control and minimise waste
• Play an active part in continuous improvement
• To conduct RTW and disciplinary interviews as required
• To participate in the company's appraisal system
• Drive own personal development through training and work based experience
• To undertake such other duties as may be required from time to time, that reasonably fall within the scope and grade of the post
