What you'll be doing

You'll join a cross‑functional engineering team supporting high‑speed production lines in a 24/7 environment. It's a hands‑on, multi‑skilled maintenance role where you'll be trusted to diagnose, repair, and improve — and work closely with operations to drive efficiency.

  • Responding to breakdowns and completing planned preventive maintenance
  • Supporting continuous improvement and reliability projects
  • Monitoring line performance and identifying root causes of issues
  • Working on electrical, mechanical, and process systems
  • Maintaining records via CMMS (Shire) and supporting with compliance and safety
What we're looking for

You're a qualified engineer (electrical or mechanical) who's worked in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. You know how to fault‑find, fix, and suggest improvements — and you take pride in working safely, accurately, and with minimal supervision.

Required
  • NVQ Level 3, ONC or BTEC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Previous experience in a multi‑skilled engineering or maintenance role
  • Practical understanding of safety systems and production processes
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office and mobile reporting systems
  • Strong communication, ownership and fault‑finding skills
Desirable
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Experience with boilers, compressed air, or HVAC systems
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems (Shire ideal but not essential)
Location & Hours

This is a full‑time, permanent role based at a large‑scale manufacturing site in Middlewich, Cheshire.

Shifts are 4 on, 4 off (rotating days and nights, 6am‑6pm / 6pm‑6am).
