Job summary

Greencore Heathrow is seeking a Hygiene Line Coordinator for the night shift (4 on/4 off) to supervise a team of hygiene operatives on the production line, ensuring sanitation standards and adherence to the master schedule.

You will monitor activities, manage inventory, and provide information to regulatory bodies as required, while supporting the Hygiene Manager in maintaining safe working conditions and continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• Hygiene experience within a food manufacturing environment or similar environment.
• Good Literacy and Numeracy skills.
• Chemical Handling (as per local site requirement).
• Computer literate in Word, Excel.
• Detailed understanding of the impact of legislation on day to day operations in relation to food safety.
• Problem solving skills.
• Good communicator and ability to work in a team.
• Basic Awareness of Health and Safety and Food Hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and review the activities of a team of hygiene operatives to ensure sanitation processes are completed and hygiene standards maintained.
• Direct and monitor the team’s delivery of day-to-day hygiene activities according to the master schedule.
• Ensure personal and team comply with inventory controls for timely replacement of materials.
• Provide information to customers/regulatory bodies to demonstrate processes and procedures.
• Ensure a safe working environment and adherence to SHE policy.
• Review equipment and highlight damage, escalating risks for maintenance planning.
• Communicate and implement amendments to SOPs to improve hygiene performance and safety.
• Support the Hygiene Manager / Supervisor.

What you'll be doing

As a Hygiene Coordinator :

• To monitor and review the activities of a team of hygiene operatives to ensure that all sanitation processes are completed in full and that hygiene standards for a given area are maintained during the production shift

• Direct and monitor the team’s delivery of the day to day hygiene activities, in line with the master schedule, to ensure operational integrity

• Ensure personal and team compliance with inventory controls to facilitate the timely replacement of materials

• Provide appropriate information, in accordance with agreed procedures, to customers/regulatory bodies to ensure demonstration of process and procedures

• Ensure that a safe working environment exists for colleagues and that as a minimum the department meets the standards set in the SHE Policy

• Review equipment and highlight damage, escalating risks, to inform the preventative maintenance programme

• Communicate, and validate the team’s adoption of amendments to SOPs to ensure change is effectively implemented and improvements are made to functional hygiene performance and safety practices

• Accountable for supporting the Hygiene Manager / Supervisor

What we’re looking for

Full training will be provided if successful in this role but are looking for the following knowledge and experience:

• Hygiene experience within a food manufacturing environment or similar environment

• Good Literacy and Numeracy skills

• Chemical Handling (as per local site requirement)

• Computer literate in Word, Excel

• Detailed understanding of the impact of legislation on day to day operations in relation to food safety.
