A local care provider in Accrington is seeking self-employed carers to offer support to a 22-year-old man living with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. The role involves working evenings and weekends, providing person-centered care and assistance in all aspects of daily living. Ideal candidates should possess excellent communication skills, reliability, and ideally some previous experience in care. Full training will be provided, and a positive attitude is essential.
We are looking for the right people to join a team of SELF-EMPLOYED CARERS to work with a young 22‑year‑old man with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy living in the family home.
18 hours are available to cover evenings and weekends.
We are looking for caring, proactive, and motivated individuals with a passion for supporting others, ideally someone with a good sense of humour and who is down to earth. Someone willing to support with all aspects of care. Ideally, these people will be reliable, consistent, and work in a person‑centred way.
Previous experience is desirable; however, full training will be provided. A positive attitude and good work ethic are also essential. You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A driver with a full, clean licence and insurance is required for work purposes.
You must have up‑to‑date DBS. You must provide evidence of liability insurance and regular invoices; payment will be made electronically.
