Job summary

A community support organization in Preston is seeking a caring Personal Assistant to help a young male client remain independent in his home. The role involves assisting with community activities and personal hygiene prompts. Ideal candidates will have prior experience in caregiving and knowledge of autism. A flexible schedule of up to 15 hours weekly is offered at £12.70 per hour, along with paid annual leave and pension access.

Job description

An opportunity has arisen for a Personal Assistant to provide support to a young male within his own home to remain independent. Our client is interested in gaming and farming, so somebody with similar interests would be ideal. There is a family dog outside at the property, so the applicant must be comfortable with animals.

Responsibilities
  • Provide support to access the community and complete activities such as attending cinemas, browsing shops, and visiting cafes.
  • Personal care is not required but prompting to keep up with personal hygiene is required.
  • Assistance with shopping.

Hours available up to 15 per week with a generous hourly rate of £12.70, including 5.6 weeks paid annual leave and access to a workplace pension. The hours can be worked flexibly, to be discussed at interview, but mainly require support in the afternoons Mon-Fri. We are looking for a caring, proactive, and motivated individual with a passion for supporting others.

Qualifications and requirements
