Job Title: Lighting & Video Applications Engineer

Location: UK – Remote / Hybrid with site travel
Salary: £40,000 - £55,000
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

About the Role:

As a Lighting & Video Applications Engineer, you’ll play a key role in supporting the design, configuration, and delivery of lighting and video systems for permanent installations within arenas, stadiums, theatres and a variety of event spaces across the UK.

Responsibilities
  • Support pre-sales and project management teams with lighting and video design input.
  • Create and refine technical designs, schematics, elevations and cable schedules.
  • Conduct site surveys and produce detailed design drawings.
  • Specification of lighting and video equipment required to achieve the ideal solution for clients.
  • Carry out on site testing, commissioning and troubleshooting of installed systems.
  • Programme and test lighting and video control equipment
  • Oversee warehouse pre-site testing of equipment.
  • Provide training and support to clients and end-users, ensuring systems are user-friendly and supported by clear handover information.
  • Create documentation such as O&M manuals, design notes, and after-sales reports.
Skills & Experience
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols such as DMX, Art-Net, sACN, Ma-Net etc.
  • A good understanding of projection, media servers, VoIP, LED processors and signal distribution.
  • Strong knowledge of lighting systems such as GrandMA, ETC, Pharos, Chamsys, Lutron, Avolites.
  • A good understanding of video equipment from brands such as Disguise, Resolume, Analog Way, Q-SYS, NovaStar, Watchout, Green Hippo, Pixera
  • Design experience using AutoCAD, Vectorworks, Revit, Sketchup (Preferred)
  • Full UK Driving License
