Lighting Technician

Join 4Wall Europe - a global video, lighting, rigging company - to gain real-world experience in delivering AV and lighting to high-end concerts, tours and festivals around the world.

With 3 UK locations and multiple across the US, 4Wall works with some of the best-known brands and artists around the world, delivering the very latest video, lighting and rigging equipment.

We are currently seeking an experienced Lighting Technician to join our lighting team in Blackburn on a 6-month fixed-term contract from November to April, with the potential to extend until June

We’re looking for a highly motivated candidate with extensive experience as a lighting technician with knowledge of lighting systems, control platforms and console layout.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Maintaining the lighting department equipment to the highest standards by inspecting and repairing as necessary.
  • Prepping kit as per job requirements in a timely fashion.
  • Checking in/ Checking out equipment as per procedures.
  • Organising all lighting as per 4Wall working policy.
  • Providing technical support to clients as required.
  • Working as part of a wider team to help deliver exceptional service to our clients.
  • Apply excellent technical knowledge to achieve the determined sound objectives.
Qualifications and pre-requisites
  • Experience as a lighting technician along with the ability to demonstrate lighting/technical training and/or experience.
  • A deep understanding of lighting systems, control platforms and console layouts.
  • Must have good visual abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • General technical ability and dexterity.
  • The ability to work as part of a team.
  • Problem-solving / trouble shooting and repair ability.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness and flexibility to facilitate overtime including early mornings, late evenings and some weekend working.
Working hours

Full time.
