Job description

Job Responsibilities

• To complete the PPM schedule within agreed timescales and to ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and to the laid-down procedures.
• To respond promptly and positively to service call requests from the Helpdesk and to assess the requirements of the job and carry out repairs as and where necessary.
• To prioritise maintenance and repair work to achieve agreed timescales and response times.
• To order spares to the laid-down procedures.
• To carry out lighting planned maintenance and emergency repair work in ASDA stores to pre-determined standards in an efficient and cost-effective manner, whilst complying with the laid-down Company Health and Safety policy.

Qualifications & Experience

• Recognised electrical qualification
• Electrical - Edition Wiring Regulations
• Health & Safety for working on Filling Station lighting (City-delivered course)

Desirable but Not Essential

• GCSE standard
• Basic installation and repair of lighting in stores, e.g. cable glands, conduits, track, light density and spread, cable types and loadings
• PC literate

Ideal Candidate

• Full current driving licence
• Degree of flexibility required. Will be required to stay away from home occasionally.
• Willingness to work flexible hours. Night shift may be required.
