Job summary

Helvar is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to join the Scotland team. You’ll commission, program and maintain Helvar lighting control systems, plan on-site activities, and ensure smooth integration for local projects.

You’ll train customers, troubleshoot, and collaborate with sales, delivery, and support teams to deliver high-quality solutions and services throughout project lifecycles.

Qualifications

• Educational background in electrical or communications technology (engineer or electrician).
• Some practical experience in electrical or communications technology.
• Fluent English written and spoken.
• A valid driving license for a standard car.

Responsibilities

• Commission, program, and maintain lighting control systems and products.
• Support and develop the service business with reliable technical service.
• Train customers to use the systems effectively and confidently.
• Build relationships with stakeholders across sales, delivery and support.
• Ensure a smooth, customer-centric experience through the project lifecycle.
• Engage with customers, sites, and industry events; report progress using internal tools.
• Manage invoicing related to commissioning and programming activities.
• Drive customer satisfaction and contribute to service growth.
