Job summary

Sheridan Lifts are recruiting an experienced tester to support and develop the day-to-day processes in the Projects department for the London operation. You will ensure that new lift installations are fully tested and compliant, and provide technical support to field engineers.

The role requires NVQ Level 4 qualification and a strong understanding of elevator codes and standards, with the ability to document findings and contribute to continuous process improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting field engineers and installation teams.

Working for the largest independent Lift business’ in the UK, providing a whole host of vertical transport solutions to construction and end users.

Overview

Sheridan Lifts are looking for an experienced individual with the skill set to support and develop the day-to-day process within our Projects department. The individual must be efficient organised and motivated to form part of an established team. Working for the largest independent Lift business’ in the UK, providing a whole host of vertical transport solutions to construction and end users.

Testing and technical support for our London operation. We require a NVQ Level 4 qualified Tester to join the Team in order to ensure that all new lift installations within our construction portfolio are fully tested and compliant. You will be responsible for providing technical support to other Field Engineers across the business. Support Installation teams in commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Extensive experience in Elevator and/or Escalator testing


• Demonstrable knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering principles


• Demonstrable experience of Elevator Codes and Standards applicable to the Elevator and Escalator Industry


• Demonstrable experience in continuous review and improvement of processes and procedures and quality control to meet operational requirements


• Experience in networking, building, and managing customer relationships


• National Vocational Qualification in Elevator/Escalator NVQ4 or equivalent relevant experience


• Take measurements and complete the necessary documentation


• Record any abnormalities for corrective action or inclusion in H&RA for the lift / site


• Take part in meetings and work groups related to quality and technical issues


• responsible for the lift well security (safe for other trades and public etc) and safety of all persons involved in the installation activities during commissioning and testing of the lift


• NVQ3 qualified within service or installation
