Interaction Recruitment PLC is seeking a Field-Based Engineer to service and repair lift equipment across the UK, with national and international travel. The role offers a base salary of £33,000–£35,000 plus realistic total earnings of £55,000–£75,000 through overtime and door-to-door pay.

You will be diagnosing faults, installing and commissioning equipment, and travelling to sites abroad when required. Full training, company van, and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Competenze

• Mechanical or electrical engineering background with strong fault-finding skills.
• NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC/HND in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, traction, or lift engineering.

Mansioni

• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults including VFCs and PLCs.
• Supporting installation, inspection and commissioning of equipment.
• Collaborating with service, installation, commissioning and support teams.
• Completing service documentation accurately and on time.
• Adhering to company and client safety policies and procedures.
• Representing the company professionally on-site and in vehicle presentation.
• Participating in emergency out-of-hours support and being flexible with travel and working hours.
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assisting with other field or workshop tasks as required.

Job Role: Field-Based Engineer - International & National (Lifts)

Salary: £33,000-£35,000 base (Realistic earnings of £55,000-£75,000 p.a.)

Hours: Monday-Friday 08:00-16:00 + Door-to-Door / Overtime @ 1.5x/2x

Location: UK (with national and international travel)

The Package:

• Base Salary: £33,000-£35,000 with realistic total earnings of £55,000-£75,000 through overtime and door-to-door pay
• Overtime Rates:
• Weekdays (after 8.5 hrs): 1.5x
• Saturdays: 1.5x
• Sundays: 2x
• Door-to-Door Pay: Paid from the moment you leave home to when you return
• Company Van & Fuel Card: Fully equipped for business use
• Paid Overnight Stays:
• UK: £25/night
• Overseas/Rig Work: £65-£70/night (accommodation covered)
• 33 Days Holiday: Including bank holidays, increasing after 1 year
• Full Training Provided: Internal onboarding and manufacturer-led technical courses
• Tools & PPE Supplied: All necessary equipment provided

The Role:

What We Need From You:

• Mechanical or electrical engineering background with strong fault-finding skills
• Relevant qualifications: NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC/HND in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, traction, or lift engineering
• Previous experience as a Field Engineer or similar role
• Full UK driving licence and valid passport
