To support my client’s growth in their Lift Installation and Modernisation business, they are now seeking to recruit a Project Manager.

Based from their offices in SE1 London, or Farnborough in Hampshire, this role will plan and project manage new lift installation and modernisation projects across their London and Southern business and contribute to the delivery of their business growth plans for 2025‑6 and beyond.

The successful candidate will hold a key position in their organisation, working to deliver the safe and timely installation/modernisation of customer lift projects across the region, on time, within budget and achieving high levels of customer satisfaction.

Working with their existing team, this role requires a confident understanding of applied electro‑mechanical engineering principles, with project planning and execution management experience, in a collaborative team working environment to support our stakeholder clients, consultants, employees and contractors, delivering high‑quality new lift solutions.

Ideally you will have:

  • Military experience in REME or RE or similar
  • An engineering degree or equivalent accredited experience
  • At least five years hands‑on engineering based project management experience, ideally in electromechanical applications
  • Practical applied understanding of EN standards, codes, regulations and safety procedures
  • Strong planning, logistical, analytical, attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
  • Good, clear communication skills with both customers and suppliers
  • Computer literacy in MS Office 360, excel, word, outlook, PowerPoint and MS Project, Prince 2 or similar
  • Ability to conduct site surveys in a safe and confident manner
  • Leadership: confident in leading meetings and communicating with clients, consultants and direct labour engineers to review and discuss requirements
  • Ensure our high levels of customer satisfaction are maintained in the areas of your responsibility
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the business
  • Ideally although not essential, CSCS and SMSTS

This role would suit someone who has a strong electromechanical background and would probably suit either a SNCO/WO or Officer who is seeking to join a rapidly expanding company who have plans to significantly increase the company size but internal growth and acquisition in the next 3 to 5 years.

In return they are offering a good starting salary circa £50 – 60k with an annual performance bonus of up to 10%, electric company car scheme, which has no personal tax implication, private medical healthcare, 25 days leave + Bank Holidays and company pension scheme which is a 4% company and 4% personal contribution.
