Job summary

City Building (Glasgow) LLP is seeking a skilled Lift Engineer responsible for repairs, maintenance and servicing of lifts and controlled access systems to high professional standards. You will respond to breakdowns, diagnose faults, and perform planned maintenance while ensuring compliance with LOLER and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified Lift Engineer with extensive industry experience.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and manuals accurately.
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to breakdowns and emergency callouts for lifts and access systems.
• Diagnose, repair and service electrical, mechanical and hydraulic faults.
• Undertake planned preventative maintenance on lift installations.
• Ensure all work complies with LOLER and health and safety legislation.
• Support the development of Apprentice Lift Engineers and maintain records.
• Deliver excellent customer service and liaise with stakeholders.
