Job summary

Pentagon Technical Services in London is seeking an experienced Lift Engineer to join our team, covering maintenance, servicing and fault-finding across railway infrastructure and station environments.

You will diagnose mechanical and electrical faults on a range of lift systems, perform planned and reactive maintenance, and ensure work complies with health and safety requirements. A full UK driving licence and NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering are essential.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Lift Engineer.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to read electrical schematics.
• Experience with lift maintenance, repair and servicing.

Responsibilities

• Carry out installation, maintenance, servicing, fault finding and repair of lifts within railway environments.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults on a range of lift systems.
• Complete planned and reactive maintenance in accordance with relevant standards and procedures.
• Carry out inspections, testing and preventative maintenance.
• Respond to breakdowns and minimise equipment downtime.
• Work safely within live railway/station environments, following all relevant rail safety procedures.
• Complete accurate maintenance reports, service records and documentation.
• Liaise with site teams, project managers, clients and other engineering disciplines.
• Support installation, testing and commissioning of new and upgraded lift systems where required.
• Ensure all work is completed to the required quality, safety and compliance standards.

We are currently looking for an experienced Lift Engineer to join our team, working across railway infrastructure and station environments throughout London.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified lift engineer with strong hands-on experience who is looking to work on critical railway assets and be part of major infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
