Personal Assistant – Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 2

Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in someone's life? We are currently seeking a compassionate and reliable Personal Assistant to provide exceptional care to a young individual with a Spinal Muscular Atrophy type 2.

Start Date: ASAP
Location: Dartford
Duration: Permanent
Hours: 1‑hour shift (2:00 pm‑4:00 pm) Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays & 7‑hour shift (11:00 am‑6:00 pm) alternate Saturdays
Rates: 1‑hour shifts £24.00ph; Saturdays £14.00ph

About Our Client

I am a young female with Spinal Muscular Atrophy type 2, requiring full‑time powered wheelchair use. My respiratory system is compromised and nutrition is primarily via gastrostomy. I graduated with a first‑class honours Master’s in Chemistry (2022) and am currently a medical writer. I live with my parents and enjoy outdoor activities, animal/wildlife conservation, and creative hobbies.

I require a Personal Assistant to support my personal, social and domestic needs. The PA will physically support me outside of work, drive my MOTABILITY wheelchair‑accessible vehicle (automatic), and assist with daily tasks. Required qualities: kindness, patience, discretion, care, and a clean driving licence.
