Job summary

London Borough of Richmond upon Thames in Wandsworth, London, is seeking a part-time Careers and Employment Advisor to support adults in Lifelong Learning to reach employment or progression. You will empower learners, help identify career goals and build employability skills within a supportive team.

You will manage a caseload, develop individual action plans, assist with CVs, applications and interview prep, and collaborate with tutors and employers to create meaningful opportunities that lead

Qualifications

• Delivering employability support to adults, including CV writing, interview preparation and confidence building.
• Providing advice and guidance to adults and supporting progression into employment.
• Working with employers, developing relationships and signposting or matching candidates to opportunities.
• Delivering one-to-one support sessions, workshops or group activities linked to employability.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality information, advice and guidance to adults progressing towards employment or learning.
• Identify career goals, barriers to employment and next steps through action plans.
• Support CV preparation, job applications, interview prep and confidence building.
• Build relationships with employers to identify vacancies and progression routes.
• Match learners to vacancies, maintaining enrolment and progression records.
