Job summary

Freedom Leisure is seeking a Lifeguard to join our team on a part-time basis (19.75 hours per week). You will maintain a safe pool environment, deliver frontline customer service, and participate in ongoing training funded by us.

The role requires NPLQ qualification (or equivalent) with DBS checks, and offers career development within our 100+ facilities across England and Wales.

Qualifications

• First Aid at Work (desirable).
• Enhanced DBS check.
• Ability to relate to customers of all ages and abilities and to staff at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Ensure pool safety and respond to emergencies as required.
• Regular cleaning, maintenance and preparation of areas and equipment.

We are offering fully funded training in the recognised NPLQ lifeguarding qualification which will give you the skills to excel.

Our Lifeguards are an integral part of our team and have gone on to become swim teachers, supervisors and even more, we will support you to develop to reach your potential!

Hours: 19.75 hours a week, Monday - Sunday (Rota basis)

• NPLQ qualification or equivalent
• First Aid at Work (desirable)
• Enhanced DBS check
• An ability and understanding of how to relate to customers of all ages and abilities and also to all levels of staff
• Well developed interpersonal skills
• Team orientated approach, able to work across organisation boundaries and demonstrate interest and be supportive of the work of staff and colleagues
• To be able to work flexibly and understand instructions from managers
• Demonstrated passion and energy for the leisure industry
• Regular cleaning, maintenance and preparation of areas and equipment as appropriate
