Job summary

Lancaster City Council is recruiting for a Lifeguard at Salt Ayre Leisure Centre. You will supervise the pool ensuring a safe environment, set up and maintain equipment for activities, and perform cleaning duties across the centre.

First Aid must be provided when needed, and you will follow lifeguard protocols during emergencies. The role also involves engaging with customers, helping with events during school holidays, and working across other areas of the centre after training.

Qualifications

• National Pool Lifeguard Qualification essential.
• Excellent swimming ability required.
• Enhanced DBS clearance essential.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the swimming pool and flume to ensure safety.
• Set up and clean equipment for a wide range of sports activities.
• Carry out cleaning duties around the Leisure Centre complex.
• Provide First Aid and respond to emergencies following lifeguard protocol.
• Be the face of the Leisure Centre and help organise school holiday events and activities.
