Job summary

The Emerald Group is seeking a Life Underwriting Director for a hybrid role based in Bournemouth or London. You will define the strategy for Life Adviser Service Operations, mentor the team, and drive transformational changes across underwriting and service processes.

The position requires substantial life underwriting leadership experience, strong leadership attributes, and a track record of delivering results in senior or sales-focused roles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field (advanced degree preferred)
• Evidence of working at senior levels and sales teams
• Substantial experience in life underwriting, with at least 5 years in a leadership role

Responsibilities

• Define the strategy and plan for Life Adviser Service Operations in alignment with the overall business strategy and goals
• Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities for team members
