Job summary

A major global reinsurer is seeking a qualified life actuary to support diverse reinsurance pricing strategies. The role involves preparing pricing models, conducting sensitivity analysis, and developing automation tools. Proficiency in MS Excel, Access, VBA, and familiarity with frameworks like US GAAP are essential. Ideal candidates will be critical thinkers with strong project management skills. Qualifications

Job description

Are you a qualified (or nearly-qualified) life actuary, excited by the prospect of joining a major global reinsurer on the breathtaking island of Bermuda?

Then this is the perfect opportunity for you, offering the chance to support all aspects of reinsurance pricing while gaining exposure to a broad spectrum of reinsurance transactions including flow and block reinsurance across various geographies.

Having responsibility for preparing pricing models for flow and block reinsurance transactions, you will also enhance processes by developing and automating tools to be used at various stages of pricing.

In addition, you will run sensitivity analysis and product feature testing as well as performing rate setting on existing new business reinsurance arrangements.

A critical thinker, the successful candidate will have excellent project management/planning skills, coupled with US market products experience.

You will also be proficient in MS Excel, Access, and VBA while experience of programming in SQL, R, or AXIS would be a bonus.

Experience/knowledge in various frameworks such as US GAAP, US Stat, RBC, EBS, Solvency II, ICS, EVS etc. is also a must.
