Job summary

Vitality in London is seeking an Actuarial Manager to join the Life Prophet Modelling team, driving development, maintenance and enhancement of the company’s actuarial modelling capability. You will ensure Prophet models are robust, accurate and fit for purpose, supporting financial reporting, valuation, capital and pricing activities.

The role demands expert Prophet modelling knowledge, IFRS17 and Solvency II experience, and strong collaboration with actuarial, finance and technology teams.

Qualifications

• Qualified actuary or senior actuarial student.
• Expert Prophet modelling knowledge.
• In-depth experience of actuarial valuations including IFRS17 and Solvency II.
• Experience developing and enhancing actuarial models to support valuation efficiency and new functionality.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance actuarial models using Prophet Enterprise and Prophet Professional
• Support the end-to-end model development lifecycle including testing, governance, deployment and production releases
• Translate business requirements into technical modelling specifications and solutions
• Enhance models to meet regulatory requirements and evolving business needs
• Identify and implement automation and efficiency improvements to actuarial processes and model performance
• Perform model validation and testing to ensure reliability, accuracy and regulatory compliance
• Maintain robust model governance, documentation and change control standards
• Collaborate with actuarial, finance, technology and wider business teams to integrate modelling solutions
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on model development priorities and best practice
• Support internal and external audit activities relating to actuarial modelling and valuations
