Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health’s Exeter Hospital in New Hampshire seeks an enthusiastic Licensed Nursing Assistant (NH) to join our Med/Surg team. You will provide personal care, perform routine bedside procedures and document care in patient records, all while upholding safety and infection control standards.

CPR certification within 90 days of hire is required, with a focus on compassionate, relationship-based nursing in a Magnet-recognized hospital environment with strong teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Follow established departmental policies, safety programs and infection control standards.
• Perform basic procedures including incentive spirometry, bedside glucose testing, non-sterile dressing changes and oral suctioning.

• Document patient care accurately and timely in medical records.
• Maintain a safe, comfortable environment and support patient rights.
• Engage in ongoing education and professional development.

Requirements:

• Licensed Nursing Assistant – NH State
• CPR Certified within 90 days of hire

Major Responsibilities:

• Follows established departmental policies and procedures; objectives; quality improvement programs; safety/environment of care programs and infection control standards.
• Performs basic procedures includingincentive spirometry; bedside testing such as blood glucose testing; non-sterile dressing changes and oral suctioning; maintaining aseptic techniques when appropriate.
• Provides personal care to patients.
• Monitoring the condition of patients and reports changes to appropriate personnel.
• Performs accurate and timely documentation of patient care information on appropriate patient medical record forms.
• Maintains a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for patient and family in accordance with hospital standards for patients, including assurance and support of patients’ rights and responsibilities.
• Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs; current literature; inservices; meetings and workshops.
• Determines proper functioning of medical equipment to assure patient safety.
• Participates in the development and implementation of the patient care plan.

Pay Range:

$20.00 - $28.70

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geographyof work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
