Job summary

A prominent aviation company is seeking a skilled B1 Engineer to lead day-to-day aircraft maintenance tasks and manage quality and safety standards. Candidates must have over five years of experience in aircraft maintenance, with substantial experience in Base Maintenance. The role requires a strong understanding of aircraft systems and documentation, alongside a valid UK CAA or EASA AML. This is a contract position starting in early January, with competitive pay between £65-£85 per hour.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years' aircraft maintenance experience, with at least three in Base Maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of aircraft systems and rigging.
  • Ability to use recognized aircraft documentation confidently.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical team on Base Maintenance tasks.
  • Handle scheduled and unscheduled maintenance independently.
  • Drive investigations and defect rectification.

B1 Engineer Contract - Early January start - £65-£85ph

Responsibilities
  • Lead techs on Base Maintenance checks and day to day task execution.
  • Handle scheduled and unscheduled maintenance without hand holding.
  • Drive defect rectification, investigations, mod work and engineering standards.
  • Keep planners and managers informed so the operation stays on track.
  • Maintain clean and accurate paperwork across all task cards.
  • Uphold safety and quality, manage FOD prevention and general hangar standards.
What you need to bring
  • Five plus years' aircraft maintenance experience with at least three in Base Maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of aircraft systems, rigging, component change and mod embodiment.
  • Solid structural repair knowledge.
  • Confident using all recognised aircraft documentation.
  • UK CAA AML or qualifying EASA AML.
  • Type and recency on any Airbus or Boeing. Ideally: 737 Classic or NG, 757, 767, A320 family
