Job summary

Weston College in Weston-super-Mare is seeking a LibraryPlus Learning Advisor (Maternity Cover). This part-time, term-time role offers 39 weeks per year at 22.2 hours per week and will be based across our Weston campuses.

You will deliver frontline library services, support learners and staff with print and digital resources, manage catalogue tasks, and assist with workshops to develop study and digital skills. Interviews are on-site at a college campus.

Qualifications

• Experience in a library/resource centre or customer service.
• Highly accurate data entry skills.
• Confident user of Microsoft Office 365.

Responsibilities

• Provide frontline library services within learning centres that are flexible and responsive to learners and curriculum staff.
• Support learners and staff in accessing resources (books, e-books, journals, online resources, and tech).
• Ensure learning centre resources are catalogued, accessioned, withdrawal and stocktaking.
• Deliver workshops and provide individual support to develop study and research skills; assist with basic digital skills.
