Salary £25,185 - £25,989 per annum | Permanent, Part Time, various hours | Various locations across Lancashire

We are looking for an enthusiastic, customer focused and digitally confident individual to join our library teams. What You’ll Be Doing

As a Library Assistant, you\'ll support the delivery of a high-quality library and information service. This includes:



  • Assisting customers with accessing digital resources and information.

  • Supporting in the planning and delivery of events (e.g. author events, class visits)


You will be appointed to a library base(s), but there will be an expectation that you will work at other libraries as required. Hours of work range from 7 to 37 hours per week. Please see attachment for rotas.

  • Barnoldswick Library – 16.5hpw (temporary until 05.10.26)

  • Thornton Library – 34hpw

  • Poulton Library – 34hpw

  • Rishton Library – 16hpw

This position is part time, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent, the salary received will be paid on a pro–rata basis.
