Overview

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and innovative Librarian who can provide an accessible resource centre that is welcoming and attractive. 35 hours per week, 8.30am–4pm, Monday to Friday. Term time plus 5 INSET days. Scale points 12-17. The role is required November 2025.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure the Library is stocked with up-to-date and stimulating resources relevant to the curriculum.
  • Supervise and lead on library-based extra-curricular activities such as the School Chess Club, Homework clubs and Reading/Film clubs.
  • Work effectively with a range of stakeholders including teaching and support staff, students, parents/carers and external agencies.

  • Passionate about delivering a high-quality library service and the ability to engage every student and encourage them to succeed.
  • Flexibility, creativity and imagination in delivering library services and activities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
