Qualifications

• Experience in courier or freight operations, including import/export and transport.
• Strong knowledge of UK road networks and route planning.
• Familiarity with temperature-controlled packaging and transit milestones.
• Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and allocate drivers for nationwide collections, deliveries, and airport tenders/recoveries.
• Monitor live transport activities and liaise with drivers and subcontractors.
• Ensure timely milestone updates (eg, Pick-Up, Out for Delivery, POD).
• Manage shared mailboxes and respond to internal transport queries.
• Maintain driver discipline and standards (eg, appearance, vehicle cleanliness, punctuality).
• Provide clear shift handovers and escalate issues to management as needed.
• Support quality control and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ability to work in shifts 4 days on, 4 days off from 7am until 7pm.

Are you ready to take control of critical transport operations in a fast-paced, high-stakes logistics environment? As a Transport Planner, you will be responsible for managing daily driver schedules, monitoring live transport activities, and ensuring compliance with operational standards. You'll work closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver exceptional service for QuickSTAT and Sterling Aviation consignments—many of which are life sciences or AOG time critical.
