Overview

LGV Vehicle Mechanic (Service and Maintenance) with a salary of £18.50 - £22.00 P/hr + Overtime at 1.5x + Training + Progression. Based in Chorley, Lancashire.

Are you a Vehicle Mechanic with experience in servicing and engine rebuilds, looking for a stable, long-term role that offers great work-life balance and the chance to progress within a respected local garage? You will join a well-established and trusted business known for quality workmanship and reliability, maintaining its own fleet and delivering outstanding results for external clients.

The role operates from a fully equipped workshop in Chorley, where you will work alongside a team of experienced technicians to keep vehicles running safely and efficiently through routine servicing, inspections, repairs, and occasional full engine rebuilds.

The Role

• Servicing, maintaining, and repairing light vehicles up to 3.5 Tonnes.
• Occasional full engine rebuilds and fault diagnostics.
• Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm (overtime available at 1.5x).
• MOT pass rate bonus and opportunities for ongoing training and progression.

The Person

• Qualified Vehicle Mechanic (Level 2 minimum; Level 3 training available for experienced candidates).
• Confident with servicing, maintenance, and engine rebuilds.
• Reliable, team-oriented, and commutable to Chorley.
