Job summary

Perth & Kinross Council is seeking an LGV Driver (Cat C) to collect household waste across Perth and Kinross. The role supports local residents and upholds safety and regulatory standards.

Driving a refuse collection vehicle, you will work within a 7-day service pattern with a 36-hour Fri-Mon shift and may be on standby. Training and continuous development are encouraged, with access to pension and generous leave entitlements.

Qualifications

• UK Cat C driving licence required.
• CPC and Digi Card required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with the public and colleagues.
• Positive energy and team player.

Responsibilities

• Drive/operate LGV Refuse Collection vehicle to various locations.
• Collect and sort waste/recycling at kerbside, recycling centres and points.
• Carry out vehicle inspections and ensure safety and legal compliance.
• Adhere to Road Transport Regulations and Safe System of Work.
• Work 7-day operation with patterns; 36 hours Fri-Mon and standby as required.
