Qualifications

  • Qualified with NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
  • Experience in servicing and maintaining vehicles.
  • Full UK / Irish / EU Manual Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

  • Perform service, repairs, and maintenance on light commercial vehicles.
  • Inspect and diagnose engines and mechanical/electrical components.
  • Conduct Video Vehicle Health Checks and maintain accurate paperwork.
  • Engage in manufacturer training for new models and technology.

Hours

Monday-Friday 8am-5pm (30 minute break)

Overtime

Paid at 1.5x

My client is a fleet maintenance company based in Chorley who have been established for over 30 years, they are looking for skilled LGV/LCV Technicians to join their ever growing team.

About your new LGV/LCV Technician role
  • Carrying out service, repairs, and maintenance to high standards on light commercial vehicles
  • Inspecting and carrying out basic diagnosis vehicle checks on engines and mechanical/electrical components using manufacture diagnostic equipment
  • Carrying out Video Vehicle Health Checks and ensuring paperwork is accurate and up to date
  • Ensuring work is carried out efficiently to meet time-frames and that a high level of productivity is maintained.
  • Engaging with manufacture training to keep up to date with the latest level of new models and technology
  • To maintain high standards and quality of work to help us deliver a "Right First Time" experience to our customers
The successful LGV/LCV Technician will require
  • NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
  • Experience working with HGVs or LCVs
  • A Full UK / Irish / EU Manual Driving Licence
  • A proactive, detail-oriented approach and a passion for vehicle maintenance
