Job summary

DPD UK is recruiting a reliable LGV Driver to join our national transport team, operating a modern fleet and ensuring timely, safe deliveries to major customers. You’ll be a key part of keeping the country moving with professional, customer-facing service.

The role requires a UK Class 1 licence, CPC, and a digital tachograph, with shifts Tue–Sat and competitive pay plus benefits. DPD promotes from within and values safety, accuracy, and reliability.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 1 (CE) Licence, CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card.
• At least 6 months' experience handling Class 1 vehicles.
• Excellent geographical knowledge of UK roads and a safety-first mindset.
• Resourceful problem-solver who can work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Execute nationwide collections and deliveries, focusing on LGV-friendly locations.
• Manage trailer swaps and oversee live loading/unloading to keep the network moving.
• Use GPS and digital tachographs to manage routes and ensure 100% compliance.
• Maintain professional relations with dispatchers and customers across the country.
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and prioritise safe driving in all conditions.
